Throughout his struggle with colorectal cancer Jamey recognized a critical shortcoming. While colorectal cancer continues to be a leading cause of cancer mortality and the necessary age of diagnostic testing has been lowered to 45, much sooner than historically thought, public communication about the need and the age for diagnostic testing is severely lacking. This problem can be solved and many lives saved through dedicated, targeted outreach.
As such, Jamey developed a passionate mission to reach the largest pool of CRC screening candidates as possible to entice them to test for CRC at the appropriate age, and not wait until it could be too late, as he did.
Too many people carry this disease unbeknownst to them until it's too difficult to treat.
