I am a General Surgery resident at the Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición “Salvador Zubirán” (INCMNSZ), one of the leading academic tertiary-care centers in Mexico. I am currently completing advanced clinical training in a high-volume setting with significant exposure to complex gastrointestinal and colorectal pathology.

My surgical training is strongly focused on upper gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery, with hands-on involvement in the perioperative management of patients with advanced oncologic disease, inflammatory conditions, and complex postoperative complications. I have developed a particular interest in technically demanding procedures, critical intraoperative decision-making, and comprehensive postoperative care.

I am clinically driven, detail-oriented, and accustomed to working in high-acuity environments where efficiency, accountability, and patient ownership are essential. I value structured surgical training, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice.

I am pursuing this clinical rotation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham to further strengthen my operative judgment, expand my exposure to advanced gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery, and integrate into a high-performance academic surgical system.
