Finish the Fight.

Light it Purple for Pancreatic Cancer

November 19, 2020

In 2002, as Robert Reed battled pancreatic cancer, it became the family’s desire to have a local foundation to help recruit and retain first-rate doctors at UAB, support patients with GI cancer as well as medical research initiatives at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, under the direction of Dr. Martin J. Heslin. The Reed family felt so fortunate in their time of need to have a physician like Heslin and we are proud that in the past 18 years we have raised over $2.2 million and contributed over $1.5 million to UAB.

This November, in conjunction with the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition, we want to "Light it Purple", but we need your support and participation...at your homes, in your neighborhoods, and in your business.
